Being a recruiter is part of being a great coach. He (Saban) pretty much check's all the boxes.
He doesn't check the big game box very well.

15-10 in bowl games, 6-3 in playoff games, and 15-6 against teams ranked in the top 5. I would say he does ok in big games.
Every one is saying his through but their two losses were by a total of 8 points playing with a back up qb for half the season and two true freshmen starting at linebacker all year
