Rented a G34 and G17 this morning to compare them side by side. The G17 was no slouch but the G34 was a noticeably better "shooter", meaning it was easier to shoot with a lower slide velocity and less perceived recoil. Have been looking to break into the Glock world for a house and possibly car gun and that G34 is at the head of the pack of those under consideration so far.
It's hard not to like.
I let a couple other people shoot it today (very experienced shooters) and they all loved it.
