In a way I was hoping this thread would become a place to mourn the passing of this world renowned athlete and never imagined it turning into a name calling contest. I have known MANY professional athletes (including dozens of Seattle Super-Sonics!) on a personal level and even been to ones "birthday party". Virtually all of them were upstanding citizens (Shawn Kemp notwithstanding!) and amazing, hard working athletes. I never got to see Kobe Bryant play in person but saw him countless times playing on the T.V. - I admired his incredible talent and athleticism. I was not so much aware of his incredible work ethic. I am glad I got to learn of that in the last few days. May the 9 victims rest in peace and thankfully the two mountain bikers were not also kill't. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
