From what I understand, the early migrators showed up in November, got educated, and no new arrivals came to liven things up. I killed one woodie in October and another on January 31. This is exactly what happened in Arkansas. Early November had a good number of birds move into the region. They turned into resident birds and became very call shy. After that early migration, nothing else came down. For curiosity sake, I’d love to know where the ducks are.
