not trying to bash them. I realize they are trying to make inexpensive lever guns. winchester pretty much has bailed on making their legendary designs in numbers and prices we can afford anymore. Yeah I know the 10/22's and model 60's are no different with their cast recievers, both of which I have multiples. For me I just look at lever actions as tradition and pride. I would rather pay the money for an old school rifle like a 9422 or a 39a. it would be cool if henry made a steel version. I would buy one if they did. The brass is too much bling for me. the larger guns like the 30-30's etc. They made way too many of those not to just get a 70's or 80's JM gun for the same or maybe even a little less money. those are the reasons I haven't bought a henry.
