I like the .240Wby, especially as a 'coyote to deer/antelope" combo rifle. I know some kill Elk with it, but I can't see myself using it for that. The 240 is my favorite 6mm ( or I should say, that 'speed" with 90-95gr bullets) To my mind, yes, a 25-06 or a 270/110TTSX give it a run for its money. the 257 Wby seems "more better" as a killer, to me.
