I think they were talking out their thru hole.
The cutaway action was done back in the early/mid 90's.
Pretty sure they could have run your stock on the CNC.
Through bolts were done after machining. Well at least from 92-97.
Their website says "The patented Dakota® Falling Block receiver"
Somebody should ask them what the patent # is.
It wasn't patented back when I worked there.
