Big bags of dog food can be had from Tractor Supply. I've eaten a couple of pieces of kibble just to see what it was like.
It's fairly tasteless, actually. But it's not repulsive.
If it ever comes down to it, I'll eat a bowl of "For Health Salmon and Potato".
,....no big deal.
