If limited to one distilled spirit I'd pick gin 10 out of 10 times.
Best I've ever had was Tanqueray 10. .
T10 is damn good. Not as good as the Botanist, but it will definitely do. There are truly horrible but high-end gins out there that might well be Chanel #5 rebottled as a drink. They could gag a maggot.
