I bought a Spyderco fully serrated for opening and cutting up large cardboard cartons. It served that purpose well and I still use it after a Costco run to cut up the boxes used to for packing my groceries and stuff. I also have a Browning half and half where each half is too small to really be of any use. I use it only for light duty. The only reason I don't chuck it is it was a gift from my stepdaughter.
