CV-19 is one of a family of Corona viruses that have caused "pandemics" for 50 years that we know of, such as the Asian flu that killed 100,000 Americans in 1957 (when the population was only 177 million). We've been trying--unsuccessfully--do develop a vaccine for them ever since. Vaccines for the ordinary flu are only about 50% effective.
the only solution to CV-19 is to learn to live with it.
This ^^^^^^ is my understanding as well. If we have failed to create a vaccine for ANY corona virus variant over the past 60 years, how are we so certain that we will have a vaccine for Covid 19 available in 6 months? Especially given that this is the newest variant, about which we know the least?
