Used my .338WM and a 225g AB to take a cow elk at 487 yards. She went a few yards before dropping. Took another one and was amazed she could keep walking. Put another one next to the first one, making one hole in the near-side ribs. That one dropped her. Total yards after the first shot was maybe 10.

No bullets recovered.



That is my only elk load for the .338WM.
