There is no way "they" will allow major players like Roberts to be caught up in this. "They" have the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court under their thumb, as you put it, he will be protected at all costs. All "they" have to do is implicate Trump, poison enough sculls full of mush with false accusations and take back the WH and all will be forgotten.
