We started our kids on both the .243 and 7mm-08 using reduced recoil loads. I contacted Seafire for suggestions and based on conversations with him used SR4759 with 90 gr. Accubond bullets in the .243. and 120 gr. bullets in the 7mm-08. Have used both the Hornady 120 gr SP and Nosler 120 gr. BT's with good results. Light enough recoil to be able to get in good practice sessions at the range, but still plenty effective on deer. Limited shots to 125 yards or less and had successful results.
