Yep. Weren't they about $139 for a re-import "Blue Sky" marked or whatever during the $69 SKS time-frame? Norinco, "Model of the 1911A1" for $169. That last was over quick like.
before blue sky was arlington arms. they had a small import mark under the barrel, unlike blue sky stamping them so hard on the barrel as to damage it in some cases. I sorted through a pile of them for about 140 a piece.
the norinco 1911 i paid about that price, and did modify a little. put a different trigger in it, and adjustible sights.
i have taken people out to shoot at a ten yard target, not much difference between that norinco and a 2000dollar tweaked gold cup.
norinco has never let me down.
i had people t elling me i was nuts when i was buying just about every carbine i ran across, i wanted all ten manufacturers.
now they want to buy them for what i paid for them, yeah, right.
