I've preferred 41s for years. My tests showed me they were basically a 450 with a thicker cup. I liked them in bolt guns with sloppy firing pin holes too because even though they still crater a bit they rarely pierce.
I used them all the time in my 17 rem because it would pierce a 400 pretty easy. Those 17s with their sloppy pin holes and high pressure are hard on primers. The rem 7.5 does ok too but the 41 is harder. My 223 ai faux ti uses 41s because it hasn't been bushed and I run it hot.
