I’ve shot exactly two deer with a 300 mag. Both were shot with 180 horn sp flat base. One was a rutting 9 point at about 75 yards quartering away. Ruined his heart and he ran about 40 yards before he knew he was dead. The other was about 200-225 broadside, shot tight behind shoulder. He did about the same thing. Small sample but I’d use it again without hesitation.
