Yep. Took a deer at 75 yds with a fixed 2.5x.........8x should easily get you to 300-500 yds depending on conditions. If an 8x is good for Frankk to 100, then a 12x should get him to 150.
I need to put a 2.5x Leupold on my 40X in 308 and get a certain few from my deer camp up to the range with their rifles. We can hang one of those deer in profile targets at 300 yards and see what's what.
