I'm not much of a culinary expert so I usually google around for different squirrel recipes and try easy stuff. Season begins Sep. 1st for me and I haven't even popped one the last few years when I didn't get out much. Gonna change that this fall because my CZ-455 22lr hasn't harvested one yet. Only had it out a couple times and no shooting opportunities yet. Gotta get the obligatory rifle with dead squirrel picture. Last one I got was with the Benjamin Trail (Crosman) .22 cal. air rifle at just under 25 yds.. Did that just for the added challenge of getting closer, and it's legal for small game in N.Y. state.
