I've modified my opinion on the 6.5 Creed. I do not think it is a flash in the pan anymore, but I see it surviving like the 7mm-08. There are similarities. These are both updates of great cartridges from the past. The 7mm-08 matches or exceeds the 7X57. The Creed does so with the 6.5 Swede. In both cases the new chambering allows for higher pressures and better ballistics. However, if you look at how the 7mm-08 and 7x57 both sell, you'll get some idea of the future demand for the 6.5 Creed.

I don't think I'll have any use for it in the near future. I can't shoot more than 500 yards at my farm. My shots on deer are usually less than 80 yards. If I had to pick a new chambering for hunting, I'd probably go 7mm-08.
