I don't worry about leaving, I don't worry about staying. We're good with dang near anything that could happen. Our town is less than 300 people, the Missouri River is just east of us a couple dozen miles and nothing but prairie to the west for hundreds of miles. Small tight knit community in the middle of production country with good water. Few places would be better if the scat hit the fan
Enviable position---provided no one in your community perceives himself as the "natural leader" or "rightful bigdog" of the community.
That's always a risk I guess, where would one go to avoid that possibility?
Question of the day, IMO. I think it's vitally important to know your neighborhood. I believe most folks will be happy to cooperate and see some leadership---the kind that naturally would arise.
It's the wannabe tyrant that worries me.
