At this point I see no other option than make sure every citizen has the same rights as every other citizen, no more and no less.
American blacks would go nuts for sure if the government abolished Affirmative Action. They wouldn't tolerate equality.
That's a big problem. Once you give someone something they think of that welfare or preference as property they own. It will be bloody when those $200+ tennis shoes aren't to be furnished to them or available to be stolen anymore. Really bloody. Maybe the Yankees will get most of it.
