Funny you should mention this....just loaded up ten of those rounds since huntin season starts next Saturday...

Maybe folks around here don't use much 3031.. I certainly do.. because its accurate as hell..

I am using up some of the 1500 of the old Hornady 100 gr SP....

Got 10 more loaded up with the 100 gr Ballistic Tip.... both with 35 grains...

if someone thinks a 100 grainer at say 2900 fps MV won't drop a blacktail or white tail easily past 250 yds, hasn't used 3031 or 100 grain bullets out of a 260....

and with 100 grainers, actually powders faster than 4350 will give faster velocity than 4350...

I wouldn't go with 4350 or slower burn rate until 140 grain bullets... maybe 140s...

I've been using the 260 since 1998 when it came out...so I've got a year or two or more experience with it under my belt...

3031 is always accurate in about any cartridge I've used it on....4064 is the powder I normally reach for...

Lately I've just been in a mood playing with 3031 in my 22.250 I've been taking to the range...

Seafire have you changed your old I4064 loads over to 3031? I have found your old 4064 load quite accurate in my 700 260 SF going to try the 100TTSX this year after many whitetails harvested with the 120TSX at 2900ish.

Good luck and shoot straight y'all
