I'm partial to my Marlin 57 M Levermatic. Mine shoots great and it is fun to occasionally run a full magazine through as fast as you can.
You should be able to find a decent one for less than a new Henry. I don't have anything against Henry's. I have two of their levers, a 327 Federal and a 223/5.56. They are good looking and well made if a bit heavy.
