In the last 5 years I bought both a 94-22 and 94-22mag .. they are the checkered ones.. Not cheap, but the finest lever 22 I have ever had.. And I have had a dozen Marlins.. Still have 3, but these 94's.. Wow.. They do'n't get cheaper if you find one get it..
