Like many, I've got a few inherited issues that popped up after having children. My mother takes it personally, and I have to be really careful about mentioning any related medical adventures. The kids are watching their health carefully, and of course may or may not be affected, depending on the other half of the genes. It sure puts grand babies in a different perspective.
