Was conflicted between caring for my wife during Chemo therapy or spending two days 5 hours away for my moms funeral. Turned out okay and I was there for Dad which, although 4 siblings were there, I was the one sitting with him at the service etc...

I had two friends insist on being there even though they turned around and drove home afterwards. Their presence so pleased my Dad who hasn't seen either of them in years.

Sorry, I know this thread was tongue in cheek and for fun but still dealing with it here.
