To be fair he will have a pretty good point.
President Trump is immediate civilian authority of the DC Guard as there is no Governor For DC. The Commanding General of the DC guard reports directly to the President.
The DC Guard is in control of all the other Guard Units in DC.
Guard Units from all the States and Territories are present.
At the moment the President is allowing operation command of the DC Guard by Sec Army but he can take it back in a heartbeat.
I think Trump has been the best President of my Lifetime but we have just a few days to see if he got things in place to drain the swamp.
DC does have a FEMA Camp vibe right now.
