Anyone else interested in the grand old shoulder cannons? Heavy, innefficient, over sized, insane recoil, vision obscuring, whats not to love.I owned quite a few big game calibres eg 375, 416's 460's and a 585 but never got around to owning a Bore gun. I had John Shorb of October country almost lined up for one of his double 8 bore MZ in about 2000 but the aussie dollar running about 50c to the USD made it too expensive. Not sure if he is still out there these days. Then Alan Vaisham (green River rifle works, Australia) and I discussed a single 2 bore gun, but common sense re-asserted itself, just too big. He is well retired these days. Then another time I contacted Colin Stoltzer about making a double 4 bore MZ Colin for the record was doing everything including breechloading 2 bores at that point. So a long list of failing to pull the trigger on one smile
