Ed this gun you got is getting more interesting by the minute. 629-4's were made from 1984-98 with the serial # prefix of cbh it was made between august 1996 and august of 97. The product code is 103606 which means it's a 6" std production but it has a Magna Classic Stainless frame from a 629-3. I'd guess it was a special order or made up with a magna classic frame which were a limited run from 1990 of 1200 guns. I got this info from the Standard catalog of Smith and Wesson 3 rd edn by Jim Supica and Richard Nahas. This gun is a collector for sure. Mb
