The old Bayliner/Trophy boats can be a deal or a hot mess.
Most of the hulls aren't a bad design and can be great boats.
The issue is rotten transom, decks, stringers, funnel caps, gas tanks, etc..... Then there is all the cheap fasteners, shoddy wiring and 25- 30+ year old poorly maintained 2 strokes. They are the kind of boat that spurred all the talk of "best 2 days as a boat owner are when you buy it and when you sell it."
With some careful shopping and some work they can be a great deal.
Good info. I’d stick with aluminum boats in the $3500 price point
