What do you do about heat mirage? I've been wondering about that subject.
You use it to your advantage to determine which way the wind is blowing downrange.
As long as your shooting position isn't absolutely flat on the ground at the same level as the target AND your scope isn't too magnified (someone above mentioned magnification), mirage is your friend and not a problem.
