How big is this barrel? A standard 55 gallon barrel will hold about 8 bags.
What you have should work fine. The only issue is how long you plan to store corn in it. If longer than 2-3 months, you'll need to be concerned with weevils. Typically, adding a little Sevin dust to it when you fill it will solve the problem for longer term storage.
