Heck I remember the Apollo capsule splashing down in the ocean.
Must be a youngster. I remember the Mercury splashdowns. Yeah, I'm old.
And then they all had to go through decontamination, these boys just jumped out and started shaking hands
Yep, that thought occurred to me, too, when they just jumped out and started talking. Back in the day, they had to be decontaminated, in case there was some space poison or disease on them. I remember watching the Apollo missions on TV, too.
