The capsule does fire small rockets just a couple feet off the ground to cushion the landing. That's where all the dust comes from.
The degree of ignorance displayed in this thread by some naysayers is appalling. Others are much better educated.
No reason by me whatsoever to think this is staged. Why?
I watched the booster descend,, the flaps(so to speak) activate & then the chute. Awesome, right on target. Why not ?
I fail to see or understand any negativity in this venture.
