I've always wondered what kind of finish those plain steel ones have and why they don't rust. Anyone know how they are treated?
Would it be a finish or treatment.. or just the fact that the magazine is unlikely on a 99 to get moisture in it? Never seen a lot of internal rust in the magazine area of the receiver or other parts. Just a lot of gunked up oil, usually.
