I've been hunting and photographing Axis on various ranches throughout the Texas hill country for over thirty years. Axis are my favorite venison to eat and I think they are a beautiful animal as well. It's been at least 20 years or longer since I consumed any WT deer meat and I don't miss it at all. Good Times buddy.
