The claw is not holding the shell.The claw is worn and most likely too short because no matter how much tension on the tail I can't get it to grip the shell.How much shorter would the claw have to be with a new extractor for the magnum boltface approx.?
What you're describing makes me think that what you have right now is a 'standard' extractor - and not the magnum version...
