Beyond the obvious. As a SAW I feel it will be less effective than the M249 (with 200 rounds) because the bag belt holder only has 50 rounds. It will need to be belt fed to make up for this deficiency meaning to use it effectively as a SAW Someone will have to be an assistant gunner just like the m60. I know it sounds cool but in reality what will the "Fury" actually do better than the 7.62x51 in real world combat? Now the rifle I sort of like for the designated marksman. Does the new rifle design still use direct impingement? I have read that 7.62x51 magazines will work with the Fury. Are we moving toward an AR10 type rifle as the standard battle rifle? Gotta love carrying fewer rounds right?
