Affirmative action has been very busy for over a half century in qualifying for the Ivy Leagues, med schools, law schools, corporate advancements, getting university tenure. You name it. Qualifying for special forces groups, and elite pilots groups.
We have come to convince ourselves to accept mediocrity to justify what is not true — that diversity above all is always better. It’s probably just one aspect to the question, “why has so much in our culture and society seemed to have slipped to….mediocrity, or worse.
