Most "professional media spokespersons" are more or less the same - don't seem capable of doing original thinking or serving as leader of anything much, but they can read from someone else's script and smoothly mouth the party/corporate lingo.
Once in a while, a really competent and sharp one will appear - they are obviously the anomaly and don't stay in the role very long - headed somewhere higher.
This one for Biden is particularly weak. Bad choice. That's OK. there are plenty of the "more or less the same" type in line.
