I've taken down deer ( blacktails) with a 68 gr and/or 75 gr BTHP Hornady. They worked just fine...the 80 grain A Max is also a damn good bullet for that kind of service.. Don't ask me why, but I think they are more accurate than the 75 grain A Max.
