You can get a lot of serious work done with just a 4" S&W & it will come with a good trigger. Plus you will be able to hit little tiny targets way out there in another zip code if you shoot up part of that coffee can of handloads like Mackay has. The target is out there if you look close. But the target isn't close. A lighter gun is ok only if you can shoot it, misses don't count. Myself, I like a heavy gun as long as it balances.
I like both, S&W's & Ruger bisley's, just so they have good triggers & a narrow front sight. Now that I've had cataract surgery I can see those sights again, it's great.
