I almost always carry a pack now, so my pockets: coat, shirt, and pants, are for car keys, and an extra, glasses, iPhone, extra ammo if not wearing a belt carrier, gloves, cough drops, and a Leupold flannel thingy for a handkerchief. Late in the season I get tired of the pack, and go very light on the paraphernalia, so more goes in my pockets. What goes where depends on the pocket layouts. My primary car key has an Olight attached in case I drop or misplace my LED headlamp. Two is one and one is none, as Clint says……

My backup piece is an LCP 2, and sometimes I carry a spare mag, sometimes not. Ten should be enough.
