Have your wife push the green button for you so you can sleep lol. When I had surgery on my stomach last month I would fall asleep but the pain meds would wear off and wake me up about every 45 min..... told my wife just keep hitting that button if it's lit up green so I can sleep lol.
Seriously.....don't overestimate how good you might feel.... they got you loaded up and will send you home.....you think, heck yeah .....I'm good, but when you get home all hell breaks loose..… make sure they give you some good pain meds to go home..... my dad had the same kind of surgery as you back around 04.... was tough recovery but said he felt like he was 21 again after about 6 months.
