It is kinda sad, TV and radio have destroyed regional speech. That basic
Indiana/Arizona speech has set the pattern for how we should all talk.
Seldom hear common old terms or ways of speaking that I grew up with.
Don't use them often myself.
Traveling I soon noticed southern accents aren't really much of a thing anymore. Its more rural vs city. Downtown any big city, you might think you are in Indianapolis, drive 70 miles and suddenly you know you ain't in Hoosierland anymore.
