While Angus was competing, I decided to get myself a kilt.

Mine is one of those brown duck Utilikilts. Since I'm 1/2 German and 1/256th Scot, I never wanted try to be authentic. For a dagger, I carried a 14 inch Bowie. My sporan is a huge hunting Sporan made from a whitetail skin and the flap made from the rear end/tail. I call it my big fuzzy nutsack, because I keep a pound of peanuts in there and invite cute chicks to dip in grap a handful and shuck them.

Sorry, I don't have a picture, but I'll try and find one.

I'll be honest, in hot weather, a kilt is quite comfortable. It gives you a lot of ventilation. It's somewhat similar to what my Dad grew up wearing in the building trades: lederhosen. They stand away from your skin and ventilate you in the summer. They also protect you against hot surfaces like a roof. All the Germans in this town wore lederhosen in the building trades. My Dad also wore shorts all winter. I still see that a lot now with school kids. It'll be 25 and kids are walking to school in shorts. Yikes.
