Have a 2013 Rubicon now, and it has a built in roll cage that will keep the windshield from folding over.

I wouldn’t put a ton of faith in the “roll cage” in your JK. Jeep doesn’t even consider them a roll cage. According to Jeep they’re a sport bar.
I’ve had a 2011 JK and currently a 2018 JL I’m familiar with the “cage” in late model Wranglers.
