When I went looking for my Model 99 it didn't know one model from another. I just bought the one that I thought looked and handled the best. It is a 1940 Model EG in .300 Savage. It is a late 1940 as it has a checkered stock. So the EG is my favorite. It has no rust, no cracks and a perfect bore. The bluing is about 75%. I added a Marble tang sight which I don't really like so I am looking for a Lyman 57SA sight. [Linked Image]
