Our then 14 year old broke her back last spring on being thrown.

A friend trains horses and riders, Em helps her with it. Providing a butt to
help acquire training time.

The horse was a Thoroughbred, the owner lied about it and hid its tendency
to go apeshit.

Lotta praying, a helicopter hospital transfer and he was released
after a day.

Almost total recovery, we all know how it could have been.

Come fall, same place, she saw a lady get thrown from a leased Throughbred.
Broken ribs, shoulder, coller bone, punctured lung.

Unfortunately, Em can't really ride anymore.
She can get on and ride, but she is scared the whole time and doesn't enjoy it.

Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!
